 Saffron Canteen Indian Restaurant Utah Indian Comfort Food

The Saffron Canteen is a pop up restaurant prominently located in the Crimson Dining Room on the upper level of the Student Union building and is open to University students, faculty and the general public.

Enjoy a hearty meal of Lamb Vindaloo or Aloo Channa Gobhi with warm naan. Wash it down with a cool mango lassi or a creamy rice pudding. 

Our menu changes daily to ensure a variety of offerings to our patrons. Our specials highlight the regional cuisines of India from Street Food to Indo Chinese delicacies. The menu is carefully selected to emphasize chockful of nutritional spices, fresh herbs and organic ingredients (whenever possible) including a selection of Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian options. 

With a focus on students and faculty, we offer fresh, fine food in a fast paced casual setting. Don¹t miss out on everyone's favorite Gulab Jamun dessert—the perfect ending to your flavor packed meal!
